Geneva Arabians was founded by Margit and Warren Bentley and Jaime (Cassin) Ward in 1993, and today operates as a private breeding farm.
Margit and Jaime share a long history in the Arabian horse industry. Margit’s sister, Ulla Brunk, introduced her to horses at the age of 6, while riding with the Swedish American Riding Club in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL. Margit’s passion for horses continued to flourish, she even recalls teaching her classmates how to “trot” and “canter” around the playground. As a teenager, Margit was introduced to Arabian horses by Deedie Wrigley, and she has been involved with the breed ever since. In later years, Margit opened a riding school in West Bend, WI. Dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children, Margit brought over 300 troubled children from the city to learn how to ride and taught them the positive effect Arabian horses could have on their lives.
Margit shared her love for Arabians with her daughter, Jaime. As she was growing up, Margit taught Jaime to ride on their purebred stallion, Hillcrest Heritage. Margit and Jaime have many fond memories of training their own horses and camping in stalls next to them at horse shows across the Midwest.
Since then, Jaime has gone on to train with some of the top English, Western, Hunt, Jumping and Dressage trainers in the country. The foundation laid by Margit, and this advanced training, led Jaime to 5 Reserve National Championships in Purebred English Pleasure AAOTR with Pension, since 2002.
In 1993, Margit and Warren Bentley married and Warren was introduced to the Arabian breed. Warren became a quick study of the breed’s heritage and today’s marketplace. The love, knowledge and passion shared among them created Geneva Arabians, which operated until 2005 as a training and breeding farm in Delavan, WI.
Champions owned or bred by Margit, Warren & Jaime include: DS Major Afire, Pension, Queen Versace, HL Infactuation, AW Fortune NGold, Master Design GA, Major Royalty GA, Love by Design GA, and HL Strobe.
Today, Margit and Jaime are committed to carrying on Warren’s memory by continuing Geneva Arabians as a private breeding farm. Margit and Jaime invite you to learn more about DS Major Afire, his progeny and the beautiful and talented horses offered for sale.
